Are the tubes on the M2 that Samek has his pencil in large enough to hold ferro rods, if so at what diameter? That would be sweet with a ferro rod in one tube and a ceramic sharpening rod or diamond rod in the other, although I would like the tubes better at the back of the pouch instead of the front.

I attach my knife and my belt to my knife sheath...
pretty easily I think- I can fit a AAA cutdown mag lite in one (holds a sparklite and five tinder tabs)- it's 0.5" in diameter and there is a little room to spare yet
the other tube I'm able to secure a 25' of 100# hank of Spectra cord
you can also weave some small bungi cord through the back of the the pals and up through the tubes and have a little compression setup to hold a metal cup
like I said this little pouch is deceiving on how much it holds
If my sheath has a loop or a pouch, I'll go ahead and stuff some things in there but I usually just put fire starting and other items in my pockets.
I do have a Mora 510 with a firesteel, whistle and LED light on a jute cord that I'll grab for convenience if I am out bumming around at my fire ring near the woods out behind my place.
