I'll agree on the super glue advice - I've used it on cuts for years, & it works great for some cuts. Between it and "New-skin" I rarely use a regular band-aid anymore. And 3M is now selling a little $7 tube of super glue marketed for use on cuts.

I have the DC3 (small diamond/ceramic whetstone). After seeing Ray Mears use one of these, I keep some small nails in the leather pouch, to fix it to a piece of wood (tree stump or something). Works fine!
