SURVIVAL SUPPLIES need advice

I usually go for smoke and peat (Lagavulin 16yr is a great bargain) but I think you're really missing The McCallan. It appeals to a lot of people, and they have always been big on aging in sherry casks for a distinctive result.

The Balvanie Doublewood, or 21 Year Old would be my vote...

Think I'll go have some now...

I have a case of The Macallan stashed away for the next hurricane. In side-by-side taste tests, I preferred the 12-year-old to the 18 or 25, so I was able to accomplish this at a relatively reasonable price.

I also have a couple cases of Jim Beam Black Label along with a couple AKs (a sword and a gun) in a bug out bag in case I have to leave the house in due to a zombie uprising. Can't be too carful.

Scotch, sword, and rifle. Yup, sounds like you've got everything.

Well I've been sipping my first glass of Pig's Nose and it is very smooth. I think JW Black might have a better taste though.

Can't go wrong with The Macallans.

But this is nice on the rocks

Rain water, grain alchohol and a 1919A4 in a bag of golf clubs.

Have you ever heard of a thing called fluoridation? Fluoridation of water?

Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to fluoridated water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk, ice cream? Ice cream, Mandrake. Children's ice cream?

I Recomend The Tully as it goes down real smooth at a moderate price.

I am also a huge fan of Makers Mark and go to their Distillery Whenever I am In KY (I call it my pilgramage to Mecca) Knobb Creek is alright, there place is a few miles from Makers Mark as is Jim Beam.

now don't you forget to go and explain how you prepare it in the other thread. That is just as important.

Ok, I highly recommend JURA Single Malt 10 years old.

It is 43% so it is a little higher than others b ut it is awesome and I paid $34 with two scotch glasses included. As good as Talisker

..balt Boy,

I'll tell you that I didn't care for the Dalmores I have had and the younger Macallan's were kind of raw.

I have liked the Bowmores I have had.

Regards,
Tony G

P.S. Sell a watch and a few SHBMs get a Serotta Ottrott:thumbup:   you'll want to ride again.

try the JURA you will thank me.

I have no need for an Ottrot when I have a Look KG381, Look KX light, Merlin and another frame waiting to be built up. Can you say MOOTS

Glenfiddich Private Reserve, a nice bottle of Oban, or Glenfiddich Solera Reserve (in that order) would be my choices.

Hmmm. Sad to see the price of Lagavulin has skyrocketed due to a poor guess on their part a while back.

Bruichladdich has several must tries out.
e.g.

Bruichladdich 3D 2nd Edition
A combination of whiskies from 3 different peat levels, distilled in 3 different decades, matured in 3 different types of wood and aged in 3 different cellars makes this whisky truly 3 dimensional. Nose: smoky, dry, peated and salty w/ traces of fruit and sweet malt. Body: full. Palate: waves of peat followed by zesty fruit, and topped with rich smoke. Finish: long, sweet and smoky.

Cheers!

I will try the Jura for sure Cobalt.

A good blended scotch is underrated, not all single malts are Talisker.
Chivas was the first decent scotch I tried and will always have a place in my heart for that.
Crown Royal is my cheap(it's the lowest legal price here in canada) booze of choice for gifts and weddings.

Right now I am having a Britney(diet pepsi and methadone)

You know, after the first couple glasses, it all tastes the same to me. $8 or $80 a bottle, once I am past the first few belts, I can't taste the difference much anymore.

I did enjoy that first glass outta the blue label bottle every once in a while, though. Blended or not, that is some mighty fine scotch to start a session with!!!
