Survival Tarp

Awesome, Jake, thanks for the info man  I'm pretty stoked to get it. Yeah, I wouldn't use it as a main shelter for camping out, but I think for use in the daypack as groundsheet and quick shade/additional emergency coverage, it's sounds like a good compromise.

Turns out I place an order for the Multicam version a little while ago (seemed a bit tougher, flame retardant, probably will stay waterproof longer), and should be getting that before the coyote I originally ordered, which is still backordered. Looking forward to using it!

Man, that multicam is awesome. At the last meet back in May I say a coal placed right on the material. Thats some tough stuff. I have the Coyote and its very cool. You will like em both. Also you can rig em both up together to provide a main shelter, or just a bigger shade area to relax in.

I hope you post up some pics of differant ways you rig it. I love seein differant tarp pitches.

Wow, THAT fire retardant huh? I guess I really won't have to worry about sparks with the multicam :D

I'll be posting pics. My gf always rolls her eyes when we're out hiking or spending time outside and I ask her if she wants me to make some shade for her :D She knows I just want to play around with rigging up a tarp, haha.

ETA: Just got it in the mail today (multicam), it definitely feels well constructed and decently durable :thumbup:

I got my 10x10 in Coyote in. These are very nice Tarps at a great price.

I have a couple sil-nylon tarps and while they serve ok. They are a bit harder to work with, much noisier, and I have some doubts about their durability over longer term use.
