    I took a sabbatical from posting here for a while, and I missed posting my XMas eve beverage this year. Armenian Cognac:

    Good to see you, my friend.

    Wow! A fancy glass for some super fancy cognac. Enjoy!

    I've always been a Jim Beam fan. When I saw this at the store I had to give it a try. I really like Jim's black label and this is just as good. I'd need a side by side taste test to really pick a winner.

    @OBX351 !
    My favorite beers are usually porters or a stout like @LarsL included in the 7/7 thread pic, but I've always enjoyed the High Life :thumbsup:

    This is from an area in one of my favorite places in the world. Definitely higher quality coffee than what I normally buy at the grocery store.

    The UP sure looks funny without the rest of Wisconsin below it.
    I love the early history of the Upper Midwest with all the drama of private armies and land wars superimposed on the French fur trade.
    Oregon is dull by comparison, all we had was some guys in canoes looking for the ocean and a video game.

    I can imagine, but if you venture into that area, that's all you see. Post cards, magnets, earings... everything is just the upper peninsula.

    I don't know much about the very early history, but they're proud of the copper mining tradition from the last hundred or so years. I love it!
