You sent them nearly $600 knowing their history!?! Ha! No wonder Survive! is still out there able to scam people. One every minute.....

Fair enough. I mean I knew that people had had issues with them for taking very long times to get the knives, but I honestly had no idea that they were hated like this. To be fair, I’d never seen that long thread before today. I’d just seen YouTube videos where people said it took forever.

If it seems like I’m rubbing it in anyone’s face that I got my knives comparatively quickly, that was not my intention. But I assure you that I have absolutely no affiliation with Survive. In fact, after the initial contact with them when I was placing my first order, I haven’t been able to get any response to them via email or with a voicemail. I just figured that they were really busy, like they’ve said in their videos - which I’ve been watching. I received an email last week saying that my GSO-8 was being shipped, and it showed up today.

Sorry - I was just excited to get a new knife.

Sorry you had to learn about it like this, use the new knife in good health.

Dude, there are people still waiting 6-7 years. But you got yours!

I mean, I got the knives…and they’re really good. So maybe I just got lucky, but again, I was only vaguely familiar that they had had issues from years ago. I really had no idea about how much they are hated.

I think the 12” knives are the ones that have a super backlog. Maybe the 10” ones as well. I know there’s a guy on YouTube that waited like 6 years for his 12”, and then when he finally got it, he was also gushing about it.

For sure - if I had waited like 6 or 7 years, I’d be pissed. But when I initially contacted them, I was told it’d be about 3 months for the 4.5 and up to a year for the 8. I can only go with my personal experience here.

But look, I’ll stop discussing these knives since it seems to upset people. That’s not my intention, and I never would have made this thread had I known it would cause this reaction.
