If I was in the market for a folding bushcrafter, which is an odd duck of a knife niche, I’d go with a battle horse tree frog.

I'll show up to that party lolI like the looks of survive fixed blade, but this - meh.... not great , not bad.
Where can we start a thread to bash survive ? It makes us feel better who have knives on order. I do have to say my 5.1 was a beautiful knife.
The problem is that millit is also working with them on their other knives that are on prepaid back order for over 3 years.I've never heard of Survive! before this thread, but Millit is world-class. If they're producing the knife it will surely be quality, right? Thoughts?
For me they already have.I'd be hard pressed to throw any money at any product with their name on it. I just hope it doesn't drag Millit down.
That is a big swing and a miss. They had a chance to make something truly unique and not seen much in the folding knife market. If it's not delta 3v no thanks.
There is no need for this comment in this thread. Take your zt bashing somewhere else. And you don't know if this knife's lock will fail or not.At least the lock won't fail like a zt.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the build quality is very high, but well built, drop point, titanium framelock folders are literally everywhere. Survive aside, what sells this knife? A secondary lock? I care more about Spice Girls gossip than I do about that, and I can't name the Spice Girls. The maternity handle? It doesn't look ergonomically horrible, but a bulge where I want to really squeeze and put pressure during difficult cuts is counterintuitive, at best, not to mention pretty unattractive.Hey, so I bugged the admins to re-open the thread, for this reason only:
Millit just announced on IG that they'll be manufacturing the knife. Their statement:
We have always been a fan of being part of over the top, unique knives! Unique referring to quality and/ or innovation. Since the day @SurviveKnives moved to Boise, and integrated themselves into our shop, Guy talked about wanting to introduce a folding knife into their line. With our experience, and ability to make one, he began the journey of designing something simply exquisite. For months he scrutinized over ever detail, leaned on us and for our thoughts and abilities to help contribute to a truly incredible folding knife design. We said 2019 was gonna be big, and @SurviveKnives F1 folder is part of the badass lineup we have. We are way excited to be the manufacturer of this knife!!

I don't necessarily agree that 3V would be perfect, but it would go a long way towards setting this folder apart from the crowd. As is, it just seems like a, "Me too!" knife from a shady source. My view of this folder has nothing to do with my opinion with Survive as a company. I hope those waiting on their knives receive them quickly. Now, this folder....The blade profile doesn’t do much for me. The saber grind is to low for my liking on a folder. While I like S90v, this steel will scare some off. Many see this steel as a chore to sharpen. Delta 3v would have been a perfect choice for this folder.
Omg, one in a crowd everytime. If it's not delta 3v no thanks.
At least the lock won't fail like a zt.
Also had to post this from the knife nuts lul

Sounds about right.... Don't care if it is interesting or not. They are off my consideration list for anything they make.My thoughts are, they're going to want the money now, but you'll see the knife in four years or so (despite being told it'd be in your hands in 90 days).
The announcement of this knife was the last straw for me as far as Millit goes. For me they already have.
Yup. Doing work and sharing space with a known scammer is one thing (not good). But to then put out the statement that you are making a new knife for them that they have been working on while customers wait for knives over due by three years is just shameful. The announcement of this knife was the last straw for me as far as Millit goes.
Just ... brazen.
