I buy a lot of knives thinking I will use them or at least would like having them available. They are great knives that just never get into the rotation and end up in storage.
That is the case with this one. It is a bit bigger than the knives I always reach for. Interesting thread on the S!K BF forum about favorite size, and I guess I prefer 4" blades.
The GSO 5.1 is a great knife in all ways - design, materials, manufacture. This "old spec" version has a 3V blade, a very comfortable brown micarta handle, and comes with a FDE kydex sheath from Survive. I am the original owner and have never used it. Blade and edge are pristine. That is a real shame because as you know, Guy builds 'em to be used. I know there is a new model out there and more down the road, but this one can be yours now! (ok 2-3 business days from now
). The asking price won't even get back what I paid for it, but I think it is a fair price, and really Survive knives are offered at very reasonable prices by the company, for a very high quality knife. The price includes the knife, sheath, paypal fee, and USPS priority shipping (CONUS only).
