Survive! Knives Heads Up

6 oz cola with Sagewood coaster available on Facebook. Who's thirsty?
Is Facebook now the default place for finding GSOs?

I saw jjweb wait forever to get accepted into that group. He might still be waiting. I guess those of us non-facebookers will watch from the bleachers.

I'm wondering the same thing ... Don't really wanna do face book though

I wouldn't exactly say it's the default, just a different place. There are definitely different crowds between here and there, but enough people in both that word travels from one to the other. jjweb did get accepted.

The perk over in FB is there's no paid memberships and no rules for selling and trading. You can say anything you want about what you're looking for or what you have to sell.

There seems to be a lot more frequent movement of knives on FB probably because it is so easy, but being savvy in the exchange here and feebay will still get you a great chance of what you want.

Also, I think there is plenty of opportunity for heads ups and proxies between here and there.

It's really easy to sell and trade on that page. Plus you pretty much know where your knife is going in case you have regrets down the road.

I recently had to deactivate my FB account. I couldnt take the political posts any more. I also couldnt take the fact that so many folks get so GD sensitive about stuff. The Surive fan group was great and I enjoyed that, but damned if pretty much everyday I wanted to f'n punch a fool in the teeth! Ironically it was family members that pissed me of the most. I have some cousins that are so detatched from reality that it makes me furious.

I may have to create a new FB account just for the S!K page

What's going on with this sudden rush of GSO FB Group activities? Hunting season soon upon us? Someone or some people paying in excess of the original and the current MSRP henceforth sellers trying to cash out? Note to Survive!: this could be more money in your pockets which you're losing by having fallen behind~

Sales happen over there quite often though. I know of a special swedged knife that'll be put up for grabs really soon....

I haven't been around for too long but the pace just seems a bit faster than a couple of months ago unless they weren't being mentioned as often on here or I just wasn't paying attention.

A swedged one, eh? Doesn't happen to be a 7 of 7, does it? ;)

Yeah it doesn't get talked about much because it was getting hectic over there with complaints. Some of the folks there couldn't understand that it's a fan page, not a whiner page.
It might be... [emoji57]

I think this is it. There was a guy last week who was selling off a whole bunch, but I think mostly there is just more heads ups now. Things ahopen so fast over there though sometimes it's hard to keep up!

I help admin the GSO fan page on Facebook and I did add jjweb .. Truthfully, I ignored the first request as when I viewed his profile he just joined Facebook and only had 10 friends.. It kinda threw up a red flag for me and just watching out for the rest of the group as I thought it may have been a Oakley sunglasses spammer or possible scammer with a brand new account..
Psybull sent me a message and let me know that he was part of this group here and only joined Facebook for the GSO fan group. I felt bad after that but was just watching out for the group..
There is pretty fair and decent prices on the Facebook group there as people are just trying to help others get their first GSO or add to their collections..

Wow your words are spot on about family, between my mom and sisters, there way of getting back to one another is to block and unblock (friend/unfriend) one another. Hilarious (lol)!

No rules, no regulations, buy/sell/trade as you please. Closed bidding, open bidding, favoritism, buddy system, favor system, speculating, etc, etc.

Yep, I can see why everyone wants to keep GSOs there. So much stuff going on, it's hectic. Tough to keep track as knives trades hands so fast. So on and so forth. At least I know why so little GSOs end up on the exchange here.

It's cool. There's totally no issue to have a FB fan page and use it as a medium to move GSOs around. People have the right to do business where and when they please; I won't argue that. I'll just repeat what I said before; I'll just have to watch from the bleachers.

About that swedge 7/7, I would like buy it since it was mentioned here on a BF thread. Where do I go from here?
