Well, I had most of the morning off so I was able to head to the range today with some of my .22 pistols and a few of the rifles:

All the .22LR conversions worked like a charm. The CZ was a tack driver. I had to mark the Kimber and Sig magazines as they are almost identical.

Took my Marlin Papoose (love that little guy) and my son's new Ruger 10/22. I put that goofy looking "tacticool" TAPCO stock on it, mostly because it has the collapsable stock for his shorter length of pull. I had a cheap little red dot sight I put on and zeroed for him. Didn't get pictures of those guys, but I did try out my M6 Scout with a Reflex sight recently added as it was kind of just sitting around:

I couldn't get a good picture of the reticle, but it's the amber triangle. It's dialed in for .22LR...minute of squirrel head at 30 yards Slugs just plain sucked, but the OO buckshot was quite impressive and will be my "defensive" load. I tried various shot sizes and shell lengths as well.

Nice relaxing morning (before the dozen phone messages and 50+emails:barf:)...didn't get a picture of my knife, but I carried my BM Mini-Ruckus along.

Ran into a few fellow shooters and got to try that o/u Bond Arms (Ranger) Derringer....45 Colt /.410....WOW:eek: I let him try one of my OO buck .410 shells (3") and he said it felt like somebody hitting him in the hand with a hammer:D It was actually pretty decent with the .45 Colts and the small 2.5" shot shells, it wasn't bad and would make a good snake gun. It was a lot bigger than it looks, but a nice, quality piece.

Sweet. I dig the camo barrel and scope on the .22, that thing looks rock solid.

I've got to get out and do some of that in the next couple of weeks. It has been too long.

It has been for me too...I've been working long hours with little down time. Not to mention, I try to swing by Wally World or Dicks for some plinking ammo (without having to dig into the stocks:D) but they've been dry:grumpy:...fortunately, I'm starting to see the panic buying slow down. I figure this is where those .22LR and conversions pay off:thumbup::D

Looks like nice gear, and a good time. It's been too long for me, too. I used to be at the range twice a week, now it's more like twice a year.

Sweet pics. Looks like you had a day with a lot of fun, besides the phone and emails.
