Survivor Man's Hat

At the start of the episode, then he abandoned it in favor of a Doo-Rag. Cool hat, should of kept it on for the better sun protection.

I love hats..boy that sounds gay...but I do...I have a baseball hat collection, and several boonie and duster types...my favorite outdoor hat is a stetson style with netting for the top and canvas for the rim...it rolls up and is light as a feather...it really makes a difference in the sun. I didn't see the hat or the program your refering to...I just never told you I'm a hat guy..:D

Well, thanks for letting me know. :D

The reason I asked was because I am in the market for a new all weather hat. Something durable and under $50.00. I wish there were more outdoorsy stores around here other than a Dick's.:(

Tilley is the best. Pricey but worth every penny. Secret compartments.

Take it from a guy who is waiting to get the stitches out of his ear. Skin cancer not fun.

T3 is what you should get then. Use Tilleys recommendations as to how to fit the hat to you, as they say the proper fit is loose on your head.

I usually just were a military issue boonie hat. No, I'm not in the military, but I have a large head to fit :) I wear it for just about everything. Works good for me. Not waterproof but if it is cold I usually have a hood and if its hot it usually feels good anyway.

Tilleys are the best. Outdoor Research also makes some good hats. Columbia has some decent ones too, and their "one size fits all" actually fits my XL noggin.

I have a Tilley that my Dad gave me. I love, except when I'm in heavy rain, it droops down and gets heavy because it absorbs water. I've thought about spraying the brim with a water sealer or something, but I didn't know if that would do any good. I've never messed with them, and I definitely don't want to mess up my hat! Any thoughts?
