Their ignorance amazes me too.
I don't have any formal survival training.But I know how to do a hell of a lot more than these idiots.I'll admit that I picked up a lot of stuff working out doors my whole life. But I've been able to build fires and catch fish for a long time. There's a lot of things that they either can't or don't know how to do that would easily be accomplished using common sense.
The argument about it being strictly for entertainment is dead on. I think the producers picked some of the dumbest people possible for the show.
