Would any one know where and what part of Alaska he films the show?? My dream adventure was always to sail a small 16-18 foot shalow bottom sail boat up the coast of Alaska. At night stop on the beach to sleep or just pull close to shore and sleep in the boat. With work and life i got no idea if i ever could do that but its my dream. Might take me 2-4 months for the trip. The more time passes the more i think F*** it and just go for it.

That makes me think what would any of you do if you could go on an adventure of a life time?? Where would you go what would you do.

Alaska. Traditional bowhunting. We are planning a 10 day trip of some sort for '08. (I turn 50 10/13-why not)?!!! :)

I would just want to be off work, and get back to my roots, I dont miss anything more then the ocean, A two week trek around the Nova Scotia coast, Just go and not worry about anything, Of course bring my lovely lady friend along and have grand ol' time.

I would love to do a month-long adventure in British Columbia (again!). I'd start in the Caribou Mountains, and spend a few weeks tooling around Wells Gray Provincial Park, which is the most perfect place I have ever been. Fishing (the kind you catch in the water, not find chewed up on the shore), day hikes, and lots of canoing in solitude. Then I'd head west and make for the coast for some kayaking, whale watching and camping. If the temperature never rose above 15C, I wouldn't complain!

Best,

the funny thing most of the time its Time that we are missing to do what we want. I never been to alaska but seen enough of it on shows. I have read about a guy who build his own kayak towed it all the way north. Then he kayaked back down staying within 2-3 miles off shore and sleeping on the beach. Took him about 3 months. Every night before he pulled in to set up camp he would catch a fish. A few times he stoped by some towns to buy extra supplies. He said everytime he pulled to a town someone would invite him to stay the night and would feed him. Its an adventure worth of NG.

That sounds like quite an adventure. I had never been to Alaska before this summer. I went on a cruise with my family and while it wasn't really a survival trip, it was still a blast getting to see all the beautiful scenery. We also stayed three days in Denali NP after getting off the cruise ship and got to see three grizzly bears, numerous Dahl Sheep, carabou, moose, mountain goats, etc...
