Les just posted this on facebook. The greatest survival show returns to tv. Thought I would let you all know.

How many posts before Bear's name is mentioned.

Damn! I just did it myself!:D

Glad to see Les is doing another survival entertainment show. I like them all and find nuggets of info in all of them.

Beats another dancing or singing or young immature people living together reality series!

I'm really glad to hear that. But as far as I'm concerned theres no need for him to stay out 10 days. I'd rather see more episodes in different places than fewer in less places.

Should be good. Maybe in the end he felt it was easier to be alone than with all those folks in the hunter & gatherer tribes.

Or maybe the Survivorman series had a stronger following (ie. more profitable $$$ !). The series wouldnt have made a comeback, if it was a flop.

Les Strouds is the only survivial show the family and I will watch....Bear acts like a stuntman and eats the nastiest stuff, just to prove he can..Its not very entertaining in my opinion...I kinda want his ultimate survivial knife though...

Fantastic news...now I begin my ?2 year? wait for Netflix to get the rights so I can see it!

I don't receive the science channel, as far as I know. May have to wait for Netflix as well (if it still exists in 2 years) or get it on DVD.

I don't know if I receive Discovery "science" channel. Thats not the same thing as Discovery is it?

No, they are several different Discovery channels. Theres the regular one, World, Science, Health, Investigation, Civilization, etc. It all depends on your region.

Les rocks. But are people ready for a show that doesn't have self mutilation or suicidal antics?

I was always puzzled when I saw Grylls running everywere like he has ADHD, then jumping off ledges into God knows what in the water. I bought one of Les's books because he's real world.

As far as I am concerned Les IS the man. What he does is infinitely more challenging because of no camera crew and no gimmics to hold the attention of an ADD audience. I wonder if the new show will stick to that format.

I do love Dual Survival, too.

Wow thanks for posting this, I'm glad to see Les back at it. The word "specials" bothers me, as it implies it isn't the return of the series.. just a couple episodes. Hopefully it's a trial period like a second pilot.. and will end up in a return of the series. I like ALL the survival shows out, for very different reasons.. but Les is the most genuine (the only genuine) one of them all.

Woohoo. Les is my favorite for survival infotainment. Cody is a close second but I like the feel of the Survivorman show more. Also, it doesn't have a meat head in it like Cody's show. :D

I'll grab it up once it's on DVD.
Have the rest of the seasons, so why not?:)

I've only seen Dual Survival a few times and it looks interesting. That guy that runs around bare foot kind of creeps me out a bit though. Something about him. He seems a little too ''Male friendly'' for my sleeping comfort.....dunno.

Saw this last night, was going to post it but I forgot about it soon after I saw it. Glad to see that he is going to film some more.
