Survivors: other knives you like

Apparently the blade shape is very similar to Rod Garcia's Bushtool. Lots of belly with a strong tip.
The handle shape is so damn comfortable on this thing.

I really like Daniel Fairly and his knives. I got a little edc blade from him and did the handle myself. It is a really comfy, compact knife and sharp as a laser beam! He makes some great knives. This is in 3V.

I've got a Skookum on the way... eventually. :D

Been on his books since February 2014 I believe. Told me about 42 months at that time. No deposit either, just a long ass wait.

I'm still kicking myself for not putting in an order on one of those back then.
The only real chance of getting one quick is to pay a $200 premium or catch a deal on here if you're lucky.
Blackfeather got permission to make a copy of the SBT, but the handle is a bit larger. I'm not sure if that's a positive or a negative with a knife like that.

I'll bet that little sucker can eat up some wood.
I hope to find out soon!
I haven't heard any negative chatter on his knives yet, so apparently he does a great heat treat.
I've only heard that the scandi-vex takes a little getting used to.

That 1911 just has an assertive look about it. I actually like the honey badger blade with the fuller... until I get to the finger choil. I don't mind a finger choil at all, but that one is too much for my taste. Great looking lineup though!

I usually hate choils but this one is deep and actually fits my finger in it so it's slowly changing my mind on them.

ATJ, thanks for the run down! Looks like a great line up of tools for what you need.

Since the GSO 6 came up in another post I was wondering how it would compare to the Fiddleback Camp, but when I looked at it they seem fairly similar except that the production Fiddleback is significantly more expensive. The Fiddleback looks to be a bit bigger, but as a camp knife you'd expect a substantial knife. I've heard that folks like their Duke, but I don't recall hearing much about the Camp.

I think I might very well be in the minority on this one Fancier, but I prefer the Camp to the Duke. But I like longer handles, and the Camp has an awesome, versatile large handle IMO, useful for many tasks by adjusting grip. I haven't had a GSO 6 though. But I think the Camp is bigger yet than the 6. I wouldn't feel under-knifed with a Fiddleback Camp Knife as a one knife option. I'd still love to have a GSO 6 though, or maybe an 8.

From another forumer:

The camp knife looks so great. I love tall blades and long handles. It's probably my favorite (looking) Fiddleback.

The 6 is one model I'm especially anxious for. I think the size makes it an ideal "survival knife".

You don't want a 6. You wanna trade me my DTK HB for your 6 order.
