What are your thoughts on this knife, does it make for a good user and what tasks does it excel at ??

What does it excel at!!

Sitting on Shelf at Busse Company Store!! :D just a joke!! I think a any other Busse Edc would be a better fit for myself .. the only ones i like are variants! just my opinion! j

I had a Sus Scrofa and catagorize it is a niche blade although some love it. From the look and feel it would excel at cutting rope, opening boxes, and cutting mats.

I think the concave curve to the blade scares a lot of folks, me included, because they are not quite certain how to sharpen it.

OMG!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my sus scrofas! I find them to be very helpful in the kitchen, and I have not lost any of the sharpness on the blade. It can chop onions into oblivion in a matter of seconds...

It slices, it dices, it chops.... (OK, infomercial flash back!!)

I can't say anything bad about the 2 scrofas that I own....

BTW, did I say that I LOVE my sus scrofa!

Blessings, folks!

Gotta agree with VoxHog, it really is a niche blade. It feels good in hand of course but is more designed I think for slicing things that aren't on a board if that makes any sense. Rope, carpet, mat, sausage, I dunno.

I like mine.

Its scary sharp and very cool

THE Cloven Hoof!

Cant be a REal HOG without one:)

I personally have no use for it and dislike the overall design. Also I have never been a fan of the EDC style handle. The SJ is king in my book..

I have a pumpkin one. I love it. I used it for a while with the reverse curve. It was sharp. I used a strop bat to polish the edge. Great user. very handy design. About the only weakness it has is it is not so great for stabbing hard materials. Great for point control. It won't be good for skinning.

I have a convexed GW, a BAD, and several sharp folders handy, but I use the SS by far the most.

Works in the kitchen, cutting rope, boxes. slicing.

I took the curve out of mine, and convexed the edge(I was inspired by Soupmonger's awesome blue handled SS mod he did). I keep seeing them for great deals on the exchange, and I have a hard time controlling my self from buying another. I would like to take one and cut off a few inches of the blade so it is short enough for legal concealed carry. I would also like to make one much pointier, by putting a much pointer grind on the tip for poking things.
