Watching Les in action he is cooking rib's he swipped from the dog team.
it looks like he's using a Randall made mod.14 to cut up the dog poop flavord meat, any body catch the brand on the knife.

Yeah, i am sure it is a buck 119 knife, he seams to love that knife. He is carring it now he is in his second season.......If Survivorman likes it, it must be a good blade. That means i like it.....I dont have one but i want one. I carry a pilot survival knife from Ontario knife works....I am pretty sure its just as good. I have other sheath knives but i put my trust in this one the most.

Segaman22, the 119 is a great slicer -- you'll find is has a great rep here on the forums. However, it's hollow-ground, so some (possible) bush applications like batoning through small limbs are hard to accomplish with it. A 119 and a hatchet or axe would be a great combo, though.

Welcome to Blade Forums!

Pretty confident:D nice knife for sure.

I have had a variety of Bucks, with the two most used being a 110 and an Odyssey, but I may have to pick up a 119 Special. I have my Moras which are about the same size, but I love Buck knives and I can't come up with a reason why I don't need a 119.

The 110 is my go to blade. But the 119 feels good in the hand. It serves its purpose and is a very good value for the $ IMHO.

it would be a hell of a lot harder to sharpen the 119 than it would to sharpen the ka-bar.

Its actually not. A few passes on a belt and their good to go. Though the ka-bar holds the edge longer.

The 119 is a screaming deal too. I was at Wal-Mart a week or so back and they had them for $34.95 (110s for $26.95).
