I have been playing with mine for the last couple of weeks, and still don’t see the need for a liner lock.

Any updates on these?

I never heard anything. After emailing them twice, the Knife Center responded. They emailed me the information to send the liner lock back for a replacement. I had already given the knife to a friend and ordered an actual Peasant from another vendor, so I decided just to pass.
