It IS used and has some scratches on it...edge is hi polished (200 grit) and I've been maintaining it with a strop. It's an excellent knife with absolutely NO edge wear....despite the scratches, it hasn't been used very much. It's basically a cheaper ABA with a choil and euro handles...it's a very light, comfortable carry and would make an excellent hiking/camping/skinning knife. Don't see these too often
