SWKW Desert Camp Tramp is up for sale. Blade has been stripped of the coating. Comes with a custom sheath done by Dwane Puckett aka leatherman here on BF. There is a small holder for an EZ Lap diamond sharpener that will be included with this tough user. Great for quick touch ups in the field. The strap that holds in the knife also keeps the sharpener secured.

Nice rig. Was the coating ground off mechanically, sanded off by hand, or removed chemically?

Hi,

Your Camp Tramp looks very nice with the coating off, I just ordered one about 3 weeks ago...otherwise....

Do you have to put any protective layer like some oil or wax or metal polisher to protect it from rust?
 
I live very close to the ocean. I just wipe the blade down after using it. Let it dry overnight and put it into the sheath. The knife just goes into the drawer. No problems with rust so far. I take it out to use at least once a month.

balrog, package received in great shape. Thanks! I plan on giving the blade a bit of a makeover. I will post some photos at swampshack.com once I get started. Probably after Jan. 1.
