I'd certainly be an owner if the rats made a smaller version... I carry my Rat Trap all the time, but would also enjoy a smaller version.

Personally, I'd like to see a two-bladed Swamp Rat slipjoint. The Rat Trapper. :)

I"d buy it...

Cheaper? I know it's always nice to save some $ but I think that knives of this quality from other makers are costing almost twice as much. I guess a smaller one would have to be cheaper though and yes I would LOVE a smaller Rat Trap (6.5" overall). So Yeah, When are they coming out with a cheaper Rat Trap. :D

Seriously though, I would LOVE a smaller Rat Trap. You know, around 6.5" overall.

I'm currently saving for a Rat Trap, they seem to be the most you can get for the $$$.

Please excuse my igrnorance but I don't appear to be able to locate the Rattrap for sale on any of the Swaprat sites.

Is it a production peice?

Cheers

Hey Mindz I,

The main website hasn't been updated for a while, but if you go into the "Place an Order " page you will see the Rat Trap listed there.

Another option is to order this knife from Shomer Tec's website.

Enjoy!

If Shomertec has them in stock I'd order from them. We are currently backordered so you may be waiting if you order from us

has the rat trap been heavy tested?

I think that 138 bucks for G10 and S30V isn't that bad of a deal myself. However, a mini Rat Trap would be AWESOME!

Did you just say mini?

MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI . . . . Oh, sorry, wrong thread.

Will work for INFI! Well, I meant to say... "Cats rule!"
Oh, sorry wrong thread :o !

cheaper? They are cheap! Especially when you think of the quality that you are getting!!! Ive been making knives for over 23 years, and to make a knife like that, that"in-expensive" is a real favor to everyone! You get real quality in these for the money!

I love mine, at first there was doubt as to the strength of the design, but I dont try and kill knives. It is a little big and draws a little attention, but if i ever need something a little bigger its there and i think thats a good thing. Its so slim and light that you easily forget that youre carrying it let alone carrying something of its size. My only concern at this point is that I snagged the clip a few times and cant seem to return it to a good grip. I wonder if there is away to acquire a new clip for it.

Well you could email them, Im sure you can get one. Have you tried to take it off and bend it back and re-attach it?

I'm new to the forum, so please excuse me if someone has posed this question before.

What other knives are in the same class as the Rat Trap? I'm particularly interested in how it compares the Emerson's offerings.
