I'm surprised at the criticism so far in the thread - while the head of the hawk has some features that I don't care for, I was impressed with the hawk overall and particularly liked the handle.
As for similarities with anyone else's hawk - that is a stretch IMHO. We are used to liner locks being almost identical except for one or two variations here and there and we think nothing of it because there are so many out there - the tactical tomahawk market is relatively small so when a new design comes out it is easy to think someone is getting ripped off. It does happen, but not any more than the rest of the cutlery market.
I think Swamp Rat has a good thing going and will do well with it.
