Yes, it is dead mint! Not a scratch or blem to be seen, nor are there any smoothing spots on the crinkle coat. I was lucky enough to pick up two of these here on the forum in the last year, but I only want to keep my user...
This is a generation one Rat Mastiff. The blade is sterile, saber ground, it has a penetrator tip, and the old school black canvas micarta scales...which I believe to be the most beautiful black micarta I have ever seen. I will include a nylon sheath to accompany the Mastiff. It has been stored in this sheath for quite some time, and it works wonders due to the fact that it doesn't scuff or smooth the crinkle coat. I used to have a Rat Daddy and a Mastiff, but I traded the Rat Daddy for another Mastiff! It is signifigantly more blade heavy due to the saber grind; a chopping dream...:thumbup: Specs are as follows:
Steel: Differentially heat-treated SR-101
Blade Length: 9 3/4''
Overall Length: 15 3/8''
Thickness: 1/4''
OK, well here is my wishlist...
1. Anything Snake Skin...whatcha got?!
2. Larger Busse bowies >8''
3. Smaller Busses <4'' - especially the fatties...
4. Old school Swamp Rats (desert jack, ratweiler, camp tramp, ect)
5. Tom Krein PSKs
6. Maybe another Dog Father
7. Horton Chopper
