Added some closeup pics of the wear to the knife.

Bought this here on BF a few months ago and haven't taken it out to use, probably never will - so sort of a belated catch-and-release. 1/4" thick SR101 steel, previous owner said it had "Very light use, it's been stabbed into wood once for a photo op." Looks like that's about all the use it has seen. Comes with Chad Pirtle sheath, superb piece of work. Looking for what I've got in it: $300. PayPal F & F preferred, Priority Mail shipping in US included, other places at my discretion and your actual cost, no trades please. Email is best way to reach me: xeodguy at hotmail.com. Thanks.

Edited to emphasize steel is SR101, not INFI. I couldn't tell the difference myself, but person I bought this from ID'd it, and I believe him. My actual measurement is 1/4", but another forum member said that the SR101 Ratweilers measured 3/16" and that the additional 1/16" is probably the coating. I'm not going to try to remove any to see if that's true, so this Ratweiler is made of mystery steel that is between 3/16" and 1/4" wide: let's call it 7/32" give or take a wee bit. Beast of a knife either way, and I'm pretty sure it will stand up to more abuse than most anyone can put on it.

This sheath is several years old and I am pretty sure pre-dates Infi Ratweilers, it has my old stamp. Also I believe Infi RW's are marked as such and have a fuller.

This is a nice deal for someone, the sheath is just north of $150 and looks just like it did when I shipped it.

Thanks for the information. It's a beauty, and I consider your comments as definitive as it gets. I had someone ask if the setup was reversible, and I don't believe it is. It's amazing regardless.

Don't mean to clutter, but I found this article and it states that both 3/16" and 1/4" were available on this run of Ratweilers.

This is true, They did thick and thin cuts of the ratweiler in the later release, before the infiweiler release. The originals were all 1/4", the middle was both, and the infiweilers were 3/16", give or take. Thin cut may be closer to 0.20"

This one is a thick cut for certain and the sheath is amazing.

I appreciate all the help. My previous experience with Busse products before this was a FRN knife that I bought from Jerry at a knife show in Fayetteville, NC, during my Army days. Looked to be the same type of material as the "CIA letter opener" popular in those days but much stouter. Jerry said it would punch through a 55-gallon drum, though I never put it to that test. Don't believe I still have it - but it was overbuilt, like this one is.
