Swamp rat recommendation

I think you will find most people with very large collections of Busse/kin knives will still say the RMD is the best user 5 inch knife out of any of the three shops.

I heard a rumor once that Andy said it was almost as good as an ASH-1 but again this is just rumor.

Yes but... be aware that bussekin knives tend to come with rather obtuse edge-angles designed for toughness, very hard use, and may require serious grinding (as they are also quite thick) to give an acceptable geometry for maintaining with the sharpmaker. When you place your order, see if you can't specifically request that the knife be sharpened to 15-20 degrees-per-side at the factory. I'm pretty sure that the Swamp can accommodate such a request as each knife is hand-sharpened prior to shipment. Definitely ask.

Second that! Good knife though. If you have the money I would suggest the INFI version. It just cuts better and is every bit the tank that the SR101 is.
 
My only issue with the RS is the size to weight ratio for backpacking.
I think for the weight you can get more blade utility for the same weight.
