This RS has had it's edged re-profiled and is fairly sharp now. The edge is not perfect in that it is eneven and slightly wavy. The coating is still very good otherwise. I bought the knife this way and have not used it save for one piece of paper that had it comin'! The kydex sheath is very good, and retention is excellent. Scales are reddish/brown micarta with no damage.
