Swamp rat, Scrap yard.? New to the kin

Swatmandu 👍👍. Is the ganza just when they come on here and sell their knives?

They are always selling the models that are listed as available and in stock at their respective pages.

The ganza are a few time a year events (usually once every 1-3 months, with more around the holidays) in which some special models are offered that aren't normally offered, and/or some slightly varied models (like maybe a standard model with a unique color like red for Valentine's Day etc) are made available. Usually involves a time being given like "between 9-10pm on Wednesday the XX of XX month" in which a "GO!!" will be given on the forum and you have to submit an email as fast as you can after the go is in order to get your choice of knife. Sometimes the knives are seemingly readily available and sometimes they are very limited and are gone in under a minute. It all depends.

Go with Scrapyard! For the dough, you get BOMBPROOF blades with a BOMBPROOF warranty. Plus Red C grips are kickass as well.

I'd start myself off again with the above mentioned
511 - 911 combo.

You couldn't regret it if you tried.

711 is an excellent camp knife if sticking to a 7" blade. They just went out of production, but can still be found in your price range on the exchange.

You'll be hard pressed to find anyone speaking ill of the Ratmandu in the 5" range, and they are available for order straight from Swamprat or there are used ones on the EX. Imagine the run on RMDs when they go off the site

My first was a Battle Rat, Probably would do that again.

What all these guys said...... Pick ANY of these suggestions and you'll come out a winner. Just pick one in the blade size you want, that's all you need to do.

Welcome.... Great products.... Great folks.

Battle Rat. Got my user and sheath for $200. Also like the SARSquatch for a bit more $$...:-)

Don't worry about not affording a Busse right away. The Kin blades are just as awesome!!! Just save up for the Busse and enjoy the Kin. I would get a Rodent 9 or a rat man du first.

Go for the Ratmandu to get started. Then watch out... it gets bad after your first.

Thanks for all the info! The ratmandu has a bunch of good reviews. I do like the beefmandu and the swatmandu. Bust since no one has got theirs yet I don't think I'll see one of those for a while

I do like that one!

I'm wanting a blade 5-7". I have plenty of 4+ inch blades and I don't feel they are really big enough. I want to use it as a heavy use, camping, backpack ready for what I can throw at it.

Price wise I would like to stay below 250$ but that Team Gemini is quite appealing.

But I also would like to hear what everyone else would pick.

I got a Rodent 6 with coyote kydex sheath you might like

I bought two knives from md02geist. .....a TGLB and a Ratmandu. ........these are my first BUSSE Kin blades. All stated above is VERY TRUE. .....you will be hooked no matter which blade you choose. The TGLB is the finest fixed blade I have owned....and the RMD.....well it speaks for itself. .......chops through anything and just asks for more. I have recently gathered all of my non BUSSE knives and have them for sale.....after batoning firewood with the TGLB. ......I see no need at all for any other brand of blade. I was welcomed to the MADNESS. ........now I welcome you sir.....you will Love whatever you decide to get.

RMD is a great start. Great all around blade.

I had an SOB. Have an RMD LE. Have an AMS on the way.

Next will be a big 7+" blade... BM or TG.

So addicting, these kin.

Currently looking for a beefmandu, or an RMD infi. I'll probably wait for the next Ganzaa , Unless I find a really god deal on something similar.

The SYKCO 511 is $120 + shipping, and is still available from the factory.
