I originally traded for this knife on this forum. I stripped it, handled it, convexed it, and forced a patina on it. It has been my sometimes-EDC for a while, but I've decided I just don't like the steel. While it holds a sharp edge very well, when it's time to sharpen it, I just don't like putting the time in to get it right. If I were better at sharpening on my 1x30 harbor freight chinagrinder, I'd keep it, but I'm not. I just don't have the patience to sharpen such hard steel by hand.
The handle is Texas mesquite, pinned with brass rods, with a mineral oil finish. When it's being carried, I keep it in a leather back pocket sheath (similar to the KSF stuff) that is also treated with mineral oil. I'm not including the sheath since it's my daily carry sheath, but you're not missing out as it's an ugly hard use thing.
I'm looking for a clip point Tweener. I'd be willing to consider a drop point, as well.
