i have both but not in the solution, the paper is going to be smooth almost like g10. the canvas is more coarse and more grippy imo. i like both but canvas is my favorite. the 2 green handles above are canvas and the black is paper. black canvas will have a sort of grey look to it.

I have a rodent solution in a mashed cat kydex on my belt as I type. I attached a belt loop I bought from Cold Steel to drop the carry down lower. The CS loop is nice because it has velcro and a snap so you can remove it without taking off your belt. The tip on my RS was a little thick for my preferences, but now that I thinned it out a bit it's sweet. An alternative option for the sheath- the leather sheath that comes with the Condor nessmuk and/or bushlore fits the RS like it was made for it. I bought a spare one from Condor for $15 shipped, but you could throw $30 42blades way for either knife, use the sheath for the rodent solution, and throw the Condor in with your kitchen knives. I have an RMD in a mashedcat sheath as well. Love it, but the RS gets much more general purpose use.

Not a big fan of leather but i like the kydex and were do u get the cs belt loop without a a cs knife

I ran a piece of paracord through the upper eyelets on the sheath and around the belt loop to keep it from flopping.
