I am thinking of purchasing a Swamp Rat knife and was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with them?

Just so you know, the wait time for a SR can be a bit long. Not trying to discourage you. Just a heads up.

I've heard nothing but good stuff as well. Even used a couple Busse's (BM-E and a Mean Street). Very impressive. Can't wait to get mine.

As others have mentioned... for a SW you could wait several weeks.....and then finally wait some more. Choose carefully, if this is what you really want plan accordingly.

I would try to purchase one on the aftermarket if I were you.

Im not sure if your aware of the whole new line up that is coming out soon. (hopefully this month) As of now, you can only buy the howling rat, ratweiler, and rat trap from swamp rats website.

I waited almost 3 months for my Camp Tramp (no longer in production) but the wait was worth it. The prices on these are aready starting to appreciate. Better than the stock market, rarely will you get less for it than you paid, unless its been totally abused.

Come to think of it, it's hard to abuse them.

If you don't want to wait... I suggest you call up Justin over at Ranger knives and get one of the awesome RD line knives. http://www.rangerknives.com/

You can call Justin up tell him exactly what you want (almost custom). He will send you the blade usually within the week.
The knives are tough as hell, cost less, and arrive sooner.. What more could you ask for?
