Some older Rats for your consideration....
The first person to post “I'll take it” without contingencies and a follow up e-mail will receive purchasing priority.
Please ask any questions prior to making a purchase commitment. My top priority is a hassle free transaction. I'll be more than happy to provide additional / higher resolution photos and discuss questions via PM, e-mail, or over the phone. I've done my best to accurately describe the condition of the knives I'm offering for sale, but there's always the issue of process variation and manufacturing tolerances inherent to this type of product so please inquire if there are issues of particular importance to you.
I will accept payment via USPS Money Order, or PayPal with a confirmed address per the pricing listed. That being said, please be aware that if you are new to the forum, or have less then 5 positives as a buyer on itrader (or any negatives) I will prefer a US postal money order. Also, I will not use PayPal Gift, please don't ask. I will ship via USPS w/signature confirmation and provide insurance to CONUS only.

Swamp Rat Howling Rat: This knife is new, as received from the factory. It has not been used, sharpened, or inserted in a sheath. This knife includes the factory sheath shown in the final two photographs: $160 USPS MO / $165 PayPal
Swamp Rat Knife Works Howling Fat: This knife was a “Howling Rat on Steroids” special that was released and sold out rapidly in August 2005. In response to a question on additional Howling Fats being offered, Eric Isaacson posted this on the forum in September 2006 “The Howling Fat was a special run that will not be offered again”. The knife has a 9” OAL and a 4.5” SR101 blade that is .25” thick. The thickness of this knife compared to the Howling Rat can be seen in the spline photo below. I purchased this knife from a fellow forum member in new condition. I have not been used, sharpened, or inserted it in a sheath. $240 USPS MO / $249 PayPal
Swamp Rat Knife Works Dog Skinner: I believe this was the first in the "Through The Hands Of The Master" series that was released in 2005. Here are a few comments Eric Isaacson posted on the forum about this knife: “This is a great looking knife.... it feels incredible in the hand. BTW, these were all hand finished by Mike Thourot.... OAL 9 7/16".... Blade length (tip to edge of Micarta) 4 5/8".... Blade length (tip to plunge line) 4 1/4".... Spine Thickness in between 1/8" and 3/16".... All measurements are approx”. The blade steel is D2 and I measure the thickness as approximately .145” with my calipers. I purchased this knife from a fellow forum member as “NIB, unused, uncarried, unsharpened.... Very rare”, which appears accurate. The knife is in the condition I received it. $350 USPS MO / $360 PayPal SOLD
Safari Skinner: Here's some information on this knife that I believe came from Swamp Rat, or the Company Store: “The Safari Skinner entered the Swamp Rat family as the second offering in the "Through The Hands Of The Master" series. Master Knifemaker, Mike Thourot, has designed the "Safari Skinner" to be an excellent choice for an everyday carry knife as well as an efficient skinner for the hunter. Made from D-2 tool steel and coupled with the toughness and durability of full tang construction and canvas Micarta handles, the Safari Skinner will quickly become one of your favourite blades”. I purchased this knife from a fellow forum member as “Mint condition as I got it from the Blade show when these debuted“, which appears accurate.
