SRKW Rat Daddy LE:
I got this one at Blade '05. There were a few carbon spots that I rubbed with CrO and wiped w/ a Marine Tuf Cloth, otherwise it's untouched. Original cardbord sheath included.

SRKW Battle Rat:
I bought this from a fellow Rat at Blade '05. He said it was lightly used and I'd call it very lightly used. The coating shows just the tiniest bit of smoothing at the sweet spot. I think the edge may have been stropped, but I can't really tell. Very lite ground PT, 1/4" long. Comes w/ Kydex lined sheath pictured.

Drew, are you insane?! That 3/16" shaker is sooo small. It couldn't possibly take up much room in the safe.

I'm with 360, if I had the funds, I'd be all over this one!

Congrats to whoever gobbles this one. :thumbup:
 
Terry, PT is "penetrator tip". It is a very small mini-swedge ground right at the very tip of the blade (say the last 1/16-1/4" of the spine). It's just a quick swipe of the knife tip on the grinder belt on each side of the spine. The angle of the grind doesn't seem to be too important. I've seen some that eyeballed at about 45 degrees from the flat of the spine. Others appeared to be at both greater and lesser angles.

By removing just at the area making contact of a thrusting blade tip that bit of material, which actually represents a decent percentage of the contacting surface, you get better penetration per unit of force applied.
