I filled the hollow handle with scrap Micarta then epoxied and tube-riveted the slabs.
I got the "black" canvas Micarta from Knifekits.com the brass tube at True Value.

Looks cool, I was wandering this same question the other day looks like it could be a more affordable solution then the rodent solution.

nice, I wanna do the same to my SW. and keep one in para cord. How hard is micarta to work with no major tools? will a dremell tool shape it?

Files and sandpaper work fine.
Toxic dust so wear a respirator, especially if you use the dremel tool.
