I have nearly tempted to buy some great looking knives at a Guns show by Tim Ridge of Swamp Fox Knives. Not the cheap ones by some china maker, but the real ones. Has anyone ever used or owned them? I really like the traditional look of old knives he makes reminiscent of the ones used in our nation's history.

Ive owned a few of his knives and IMHO they are awesome! They have a look and feel that I really cant describe but its very very cool and unique.

I own several of Tim's knives and all demonstrate excellent craftsmanship and quality. Most of the blades I have from Swamp Fox are forged from either 1095 or 1084. Tim tries to build most of his knives as "historically correct" as possible...including the smaller handles on some styles (I prefer larger handles). Nice knives that are appropriate on any buckskinner or colonial woodsmans sash or belt.

My favorite Swamp Fox has a 6" blade with an Indian face carving on the horn butt.
