This knife is brand new and in mint condition. The HRLM is a hard use knife, known for it's toughness and ability to take abuse however, this knife can also skin quite well, bushcraft, along with hard use batoning making it a highly desirable Busse/kin design as few can multi task as well as the HRLM can. It pain's me to part with it however, must raise fund's to pay for other knives I have on order. I am quite sure I will regret letting my last HRLM go. One of the most popular knives to come out of the Swamp. The RMD is another all around knife from camp chores, batoning, bushcrafting and yes, can even skin game as I have partially skinned a Deer with this knife and was surprised that it worked as well as it did. The handle on this knife is one of the most comfortable made, with great feel and function. I never thought I would part with it however, at this time must cover my obligation's on other knife purchases. At some point, hopefully, I will be able to get another. The knife is like new but was used to skin with. There is some smoothing of the coating along the edge but is hardly noticeable from sharpening and was carried frequently while hunting.
