SWECO FMD1LR 24-inch finishing mill / tumbler.
These are very hard to find and desired for their small footprint and industrial-strength capability/versatility.
This FMD1LR is recently serviced.
Operation of the FMD1LR is very quiet (you only hear the sound of the media moving), and there is very powerful motion generated to accommodate heavy-duty applications.
Motion is adjustable for amplitude, allowing you to control how fast the media travels around the bowl and how fast it 'turns over'. This is important so you can adjust for your desired end finish and/or can adjust for heavy or light-weight media.
The manual says media and parts capacity should not exceed 300 pounds (one cubic foot of solid steel media).
This is the desirable single-phase, 110-120v version.
Manual is provided (electronic).
I am told by the folks at SWECO that units sell for more than $5K new.
Refurbished units are sometimes available from SWECO for more than $3K, but are very popular, so availability of used units is severely limited.
Note: There are TWO identical SWECO FMD1LRs in the picture ... This auction is for ONE (1) SWECO FMD1LR. (I need one and will not be without it!).
This item will be picked up in Newbury Park, CA. unless you care to arrange freight.
$1,800 (Which is what I'm told SWECO will pay for it. Just thought I'd see if anyone here wanted it before shipping it to them.)
