Hey langston302
I also picked a bunch of the swedish mess kits on Sportsmansguide.com I love them for hunting and camping, they also make nice gifts for friends and family who spend alot of time out doors. for Fuel, Denatured Alcohol from Wally World or the Paint store and gas line anti-freeze (Heet/yellow bottle)work best. Ever clear from the Liquor store works as a good fuel or as an acoholic beverage, but is more expensive

Nice score! I think you'd want to use denatured alcohol for those. You can get a big can/jug of it at Home Depot or paint supply stores, actually, I'm pretty sure.

Use ethanol (denatured alcohol) safest. Denaturing is a process in which they "poison" grain or "drinking alcohol" to make it undrinkable. You cannot distill or separate out the additives by any simple means. So don't belive any wineo BS stories about filtering it. Methanol (wood alcohol) more toxic, but no problem if used carefully with ventilation. Isopropyl (rubbing) too much soot and OTC brands can have too much water, making it a cooler burn. Go to you automotive department at any big box store and look for gasline antifreeze, get the ethanol or methanol containing ones. It will say which alcohol is in it on the back. The bottles are in a very handy size to carry in your bag.

outstanding GENTS!....i have lots of HEET at the house from my homemade stove projects...so that will be cool...
