Swedish Fire Torch (Or is it Finnish?)

Here is a way to make a Swedish (Finnish?) fire torch. It makes a nice little cooking fire and pot stand all in one. I just saw a video by Ray Mears on the subject so I thought I would try it. I varied just a little from the method he showed. He used a chainsaw to cut an X in the top of the log, I just split it. I'm gonna try his way next time.

It's cool that you are out there and going for it, as I have seen this technique many times and never tried it. Looks like pooch is making room for some bacon.

At least she is doing it outside for once. We're having a difficult time getting her potty trained. We're doing the crate training method. Problem is, when she was still at the breeders she was kept in a crate and they just pooped in there. She doesn't get the concept of 'den' yet, although she is getting better.

Small dogs have to be watched every minute until they figure out that the "Food Getters" get cranky when I drop a chunk in our nice place. When you have a busy life it is hectic.

We just drove through Des Moines today, holy crap, speaking of the end of the world we lost count of cars and semis in ditches and upside down.

Yeah Iowa got killed by snow. I'm about 2 hours north and west of there.
