I just put in my order for the Swick 3. Anyone else? This is my first fixed blade as well as my first wharncliffe. I'm going to treat it as a project knife and make some wooden scales and a sheath for it. I'm excited!

Got one the moment they went on sale and had shipping confirmation within 10 minutes. Do not have any fixed plans for scales or sheath yet, but I plan to make it a user as soon as I can carry it safely. I love small fixed blades like this and the Folts Minimalist line. Very practical without being cumbersome or intimidating.

First knife in S30v and first fixed blade Spydie.

I got one at 11 EDT as well and also have shipping confirmation. I am going to use it to practice my paracord wrapping and likely order a sheath from the place Sal recommended.

Oh wow. I had completely forgotten about these. I used to carry the old Swick, before that I had a couple of Spot's that I had carried. It's a pretty neat knife.

I ordered as soon as they were available already have some carbon fiber to make some scales for it.

Hope you all like em. I was going to get one, but to get a sheath with my lack of supplies would move the price to high.

I just ordered one. Very excited. My first FB Spydie. I totally forgot about these and I just stumbled back on here in the first time in a couple weeks and saw the news.

Hey Sal, when do you think the sheaths will be up for sale? And where will we be able to order them from?

I won't be buying one. It looks like a great knife for those who like to customize their knives with homemade scales and sheaths. Unfortunately, I simply don't have the time for that, and I generally hate small metal handles. It also irks me when a manufacturer says that a fixed blade doesn't come with a sheath to "give you the freedom to get a custom sheath to your liking", as if you couldn't do that if it did come with a sheath.

If your concerns are not my own, I think it's a pretty sweet deal.

Hi Jibbles,

We're not making sheaths for the Swick. I believe SheathPro is making Swick sheaths (SheathPro@al.com)

I agree with you in principle but when you take the price of $50 into account it makes perfect sense. Also, some of us like to play around with cord wrap and other handle materials and with this one you don't have to pry off what someone else thinks should be on it.

Oh, I see. I thought maybe they'd be on a specific website. I may give them a holler, but I'll probably have a local guy make me one.

Thanks Sal!

Oh, definitely. That's the appeal of it, I'm sure, and that's great. It's just not for me. Not because I think it's bad; it's just not my preference.
