Looking for a decent multi - tool / knife for just everyday use. Looking to purchase a swiss army knife. I have noticed that knifecenter has cheaper prices than swissarmy.com themselves.

Has anyone used knifecenter? Do they purchase their knives direct from the manufacturer?

I've used Knifecenter for years; great service, good prices. Don't know where they buy from.

Knife manufacturers that retail direct to the consumer typically sell at their Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), whereas the dealers that buy wholesale and resell the knives can sell at a discounted price.

In this way the manufacturers are not undercutting their dealers.

Knifecenter is a good dealer and sells authentic product.

I love shopping around for deals, sales, and best bargains when bundling items together, and The 3 sites I find myself using most frequently, who all support this site are;

BladeHQ, KNIFECENTER, and Knifeworks.

All have been great to deal with...

I would definitely buy from them with confidence.
Check out the full list of dealer sponsors and shop around,

buy with confidence from any one of them. I have also personally bought from several others without issue. Great to shop around though, sometimes one dealer has a model in Stock another doesn't, or dealer exclusive models/color variations, special sales, etc...

As others pointed out, "msrp" is "manufacturer suggested retail price", thus, typically what a manufacturer will charge you the consumer for their product.
Authorized dealers will usually get a great bargain price buying stock from the manufacturer/wholesaler in bulk, and thus can charge you the consumer a lower price then msrp while still profitting...

After their recent move, KnifeCenter is now in my home town. Normally I pick up from their location the items I order from them online, but the latest I let be delivered. Ordered a Victorinox Waiter and a SWIZA D04 three days ago (Sunday). Both were delivered to my mailbox yesterday (Tuesday). Two days.

I've had nothing but excellent service from KnifeCenter. Every interaction I've had with them, face-to-face or telephonically, has been excellent. I'll continue to be a customer of theirs. They've earned that.

So I should have no problems with the authenticity of the swissarmy knives purchased from them?

You will have no problems with the authenticity of anything you buy from KnifeCenter.

Thanks guys, ordered the Swiss Army knife from knifecenter.

I'm not really the outdoors type and I live in a state where knife laws can change by the mile ( New York ) so Swiss Army knives are probably one of the few things I could safely carry.
