Do you think its a good idea? Cause I have been looking and you can get sets of Swiss Army Knife Classics(used) for a very low price. Just wondering what you guys thought.

I have purchased several SAKs off of eBay and have not had an issue. Make sure you check the seller's feedback prior to making a purchase.

I buy only from top rated sellers and have bought several Tinkers and Super Tinkers from one particular seller. I've had only one that I had to send back. He refunded my purchase as well as shipping. Can't ask for more than that.

I buy alot and you just have to read descriptions and look at the pics if available and also check the seller's feedback. I dont buy "lots" just alot! :D

Almost all of my knives were purchased through ebay or from sellers that I found out about through ebay. It's a pretty reliable way to buy stuff.

If you look around and find the right sellers, its a great way to try out different models at a great price. Some of the sellers I've bought from have excellent ratings and descriptions so you know exactly what you're getting.

I buy almost all my knives off eBay, unless i can't find something there. I've got three SAK's off eBay all great.

Look for high feedback, CAREFULLY read the description, and Paypal, Paypal, Paypal. Otherwise, party on.

I have bought a few lots of saks from ebay ,they were used and most of the time they are a good buy, usually I sand them down with 1000-2000 grit wet/dry the polish with a brown or white compound and they actually come out real decent ,makes it feel like a new knife.

The key is to stick to sellers with zillions of sales, and perfect or close to perfect feedback.

Just to clarify, I meant that the sellers take the time to rate or grade the item and will distinguish between good, great and excellent condition. They also have very high feedback scores and typically have many active auctions running simultaneously so you can look around and save on shipping if you win more than one auction.

The other nice thing about picking up used SAKs is that y you can actually clean them up real well with hot water and soap.
