I normally do not like pocket slips. Usually, my knife falls out of the slip and bounces along the ground and that makes me sad.

Forum member and craftsman SwissHeritageCo SwissHeritageCo is now offering a new type of pocket slip that “pinches the knife” at the bottom so the knife is held rather firmly in the slip. Not so much that you can shake it upside down, but enough that when you take the slip and knife from your pocket the knife does not fly out of the slip. I am fan of his design.

I have been using his new slip for a couple months every day and it works great. I highly recommend. Here are some pictures.

Those are nice, but the thick leather ones put too much bulge in the pocket for me. I cannot find anything that beats the Case XX suede slips. They are thin and the top flap and grippy material make it impossible for the knife to fall out accidentally.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought a pocket slip is to safeguard the knife. That would mean a lanyard or tether of some sort that attaches to a belt lop or belt? Kind of like what Victorinox sells for the classic.

Horsewright makes some nice slips with a built in lanyard that goes through your belt/ loop.
The ones I saw were for trappers but I imagine he'd make other sizes.
