Swiss National Day

Been living out of my backpack since March 14 with a Vic Farmer & Mora fixed blade. Happy Swiss Day !

I always have a Wenger Ranger on my desk at the office so I guess it qualifies. Kersaw Leek in my pocket, sorry....

I always have my black Victorinox Executive and Alox Pioneer on me or near me every day.

Took this picture yesterday at work, but had no time to post. A little Wenger and Victorinox harmony in the form of a 2008 SI and a purple classic sd.

It's an SBG1 "Swiss Border Guard" knife. Designed by Dietmar Pohl, built by Klotzli. N690 blade and titanium frame.

I've been looking at this knife for a while. How do you feel about the price/performance? Besides the visual design, is there something mechanically special about it, like a Sebenza, that makes it worth the francs?

My celebration: A fondue party :)

Well, its smoother opening and more ergonomic than my Umnumzaan (which is the closest in price, quality, and function in my collection).

The only potential downside I could see is the steel is N690, which some might find inferior to some of the "super steels" used by others in this price bracket. It suits my needs just fine, however.

Oh, and button locks are awesome.
