I can't find anything about this particular model. Anyone know anything about it? Clip blade and corkscrew.

I dont know alot but I believe I saw something about them in the achive BCCI newsletters on the club website.

Go back through the old catalogs, find when they started being made and then look at corresponding newsletters and I bet you'll get the info youre looking for.:thumbup:

Looks like they arrived on the scene in the 1992 catalog

it is very old. the buck knife company paid wanger to put there name on there knifes and call them the swiss buck. I still have a couple of them in stock to sell. I am asking around $30.00 each or best offer. If it is cgood condition them it should be worth that. it come with a life time warrenty.I have had my brand new ones for over 10 years and they where old when I bought them from another dealer that had them tuck away in his sock drawer.
 
Swissbucks were produced by Wegner for Buck from 1992-1998. There were about 15 different models produced. I would definitely consider $30 to be a fair price for one in good condition (depending on the model). I have one that has been used heavily for the last 17 years, and has held up admirably. Anyone that is a fan of Buck and SAKs would be happy to pay a bit more for one than a new Wegner for the novelty.
 
You guys are correct, they came out in 1992 . A hunting buddy of mine used his (and it was new) on an elk that he took with a bow that same year . That one was the largest model close to a 4" blade and it did fine on field dressing his elk . Plus, his had pliers . DM
 
here is the pictures that I told you about. I have two of them. the only difference is that one comes with a tooth pick and the other one does not.
 
I have a Wenger Swiss Buck. It has the red lock button controlled 3 9/16" blade and corkscrew. I got it on closeout at K-Mart ~10 years ago - <$8. I prefer Victorinox SAKs - my favorite being the Mariner series and the ALOX Farmer. I bought the Swiss Buck because it was on closeout - and an oddity. I think there is a nylon sheath for it in my sheath/box storage. Not an awe-inspiring piece of cutlery - and the corkscrew doesn't do much for my pop bottles...

Thats not the knife my friend had . His read on the handle 'Buck by Wenger' and was much larger . DM
 
The Swiss Buck is a great improvement to the SAK in my opinion for what that&#8217;s worth. I prefer and also need a point a lot in my knife use and the Buck provided it. Never understood how the SAK group got by with no point.
