I just received my SwissTool Spirit Plus from My Better Half. It was a Christmas present that had been back-ordered. The tool is great, but with the bit wrench and corkscrew stored in the sheath, the sheath itself is a bulky item.

For those who have a SwissTool Spirit Plus, how you are doing carrying the sheath on your belt?

I was thinking about stowing the bit wrench and corkscrew separately from the Spirit, and buying a lower-profile sheath to hold the just the Spirit itself.

Is this a good idea, and where can I buy just the sheath for the Spirit?

First let me tell you that you got the perfect Christmas present.
That's exactly what I did, I put the corkscrew and the bit set in my backpack, or in my car and I just carry the tool in my belt.
I bought the sheath in the Miami airport for about $9.
I bought the leather one because I like the brown leather instead of the black nylon.

Hey cardimon,

I don't use my Spirit sheath so you can have mine if you like. It's brown leather with a velcro closure and a belt loop for vertical carry. Just email me your shipping address :).

I only carry the wrench & bits when I think I'll need them. otherwise, I carry my Spirit in my old Original Wave leather sheath. It fits perfectly, with minimal bulk.

Got it yesterday. :) Thanks much. It's perfect.

I have a Plus, but don't carry the bits or corkscrew.
I carry just the tool in the nylon pouch from my Leatherman Pulse.
