Anyone know where I can find a switchblade where the blade comes out of the top if the handle and does not swing around from the side? So the blade will rise vertically and not from the right or left side....this is a stiletto, right? When I search the net for this I get the traditional switchblade being called stiletto but I may be wrong. Can I order these from Europe over the net since they are illegal here, if so, where?

The traditional switchblade is the Italian stiletto. The blade on this swings from the side. Out the front (OTF) automatics are also sold. Microtech makes the best OTF switchblades, but the prices start at $300 and climb steeply from there. You could get a cheap OTF for about fifteen bucks. from a place like SpringLoadedKnives.com but they are pretty junky. However, since most OTF's are just toys, I don't think it would be too bad to buy one from there just as something cool for your collection.

They are commonly called OTF's (out the front) and are widely available from POS low $ to real beautys high $. You might want to post this on the AutoForum here where a number of people will be more then happy to offer their expertice.Welecome to the forums.
