It's a really nice and well finished knife!!!! Too bad they retired this line, but although this series will do nothing but advance in value mine will never be sold!!!!

Pertaining to Last Legend swords, Solid build, decent quality blades but, real heavy vs. historical/real use swords. 6.5lb to 5lb vs 1 1/2 to 2 lb historical weights.
More of a tree chopper vs fighter blade. Unless your early years arnold Str. ;)

Their knives look okay, but I agree that the sword weights are waay outta historical context. They have a massive seax blade.

I think they were built with blade-on-blade "combat" (read "fighting for show&stage, not for free combat), so that would explain the extra sturdy build.

I'll stick with my 2.2 lb viking sword tho. the 6.5 pound skofnung would get a warrior killed or reallly tired. Also, there are no records of viking age sword being 48inches long. That is a bastard sword length, and my Bastard sword is 43" and 3.5 pounds. You make the call.

The knive Yvsa has is kool. Did it come fully sharpened?

Pretty much. It's not razor sharp, but it will cut you if you're not careful with it.:D

Like the Lastlegend post. It seems there are several companies selling either Phillipine or Indian made swords which are very heavy but cool looking. Noticed that some of the blades are kinda cheesy but for the price what do you expect. Think I'll stick with HI. For the price the blades are full bore real sword battle ready. There are a couple of other sites it a person has alot of cash to spend:
setocut.co.jp

armor.com/
These two are for the rich and fabulous but it's fun to look. The Armor site has a much higher quality version of the swords lastlegend displays and the setocut has real japanese katanas(Just of to the English Sword Page). These are real pricey as the million yen asking price equates to about 8400 US dollars.
Makes That HI katana a real prize!:D
