Here's a very good sword (what do we call this model anyway? I forgot). 36 inches and 57 ounces. Solid and strong the way Sher likes to make stuff. Chiruwa handle will never fail. Blade rings when you put the file to it. Nice full length fuller. Superior workmanship. High quality red leather scabbard with wood liner. I can't find a thing wrong with this rig. Sword people will say this ia a 4 or 5 hundred dollar item. Your priced today deliverd to your door = $195.

Pretty sure they're all single edged Bruise. I doubt you're either clumsy or frail, but these are some hefty swords. Having swung one around a bit I can tell you from experience if you ain't careful the tail will wag the dog. I personally prefer my old "machete style" Bir Ghorka Tarwar made by Bura. It better suits my style and my abilities.

Sarge

True enough, Sarge. You gotta be a hoss to handle this one. I think my nephew, Travis, might do it. He's recently into body building and power lifting. Kid is on 8000 calories a day, spends a couple of hours at the Y working out almost every day. Last I heard he was about 205 to 210 (about 5' 9"), 30 inch thighs and was lifting close to combined 1500 lbs in 3 lifts.

I always agree with Bill and Sarge. They'll never steer you wrong. But I'm 5'5", weigh 142 in my skivies, and well.... I'm kind of a wuss. That is, I sit at a desk most of the day instead of turning wrenches and pipes like I used to. And I have two of these, one horn and one wood, both by Sher. Also I'm no swordsman. No training, no practice, no nothing. But the balance and strength of these swords are amazing. With my small hands, it's easy to get two hands on them. You are NOT supposed to treat these swords like a khukuri, but I did it anyway just to test them. I chopped up dried pine trees. Limbs from 1" to 4". Trunks up to 8". DO NOT DO THIS. They are not meant to do so. But I did, and they held tight and held their edge. One thing that amazed me. They strike where you look. Precisely. Nearly every time. Using a two handed grip and making a stroke kind of like using an axe they struck right where I looked. Kinda like the mini-gun on the front of an Apache Helicopter that points where the gunner is looking.

Now if you are going to battle with one of these you better be the hoss that Bill talks about. But if you just want to cut some brush CAREFULLY! this sword will do it. And it looks GREAT! on the wall!

Your mileage may vary, and this blade will remove human limbs as well, so be careful!

Nice collection. I like the Khyber knife second from the bottom.

Oh, Uncle Bill the sword is listed as a Tibetan sword on the Shop website.

Ain't this sword sold yet? I'm going twitchy here. Somebody buy it, please.

Ferguson,

What is that sword on the top of the rack, with the wild lookin' handle?

Well, I've got this special machete....

It's a tourist piece probably from the Phillipines. I bought it off of Ebay with blurry pictures and a totally bogus description. Wooden handle carved like a dragon or something with a wooden sheath. The blade is not that bad, easily sharpened by hand like a machete. It was rough forged, and I smoothed it up and got it razor sharp. It is behind an inexpensive Windlass Steelcrafts Khyber knife. I can take a better pic if you're interested.

SOMEBODY PLEASE BUY THIS SHER HIMALAYAN SWORD! IT'S PROBABLY THE BEST DEAL ON A SWORD YOU WILL EVER GET!

Too bad. I'd like to have a quality sword in that configuration.
