Sword Question

that looks pretty cool :-)

I scored this sword from Kris Cutlery - they had it on half price clearance because the sheath had a small blemish on it. 24" blade, 13" handle. Close enough for now.

You might check out the Hanwei Banshee if you're looking for a beater dha/darb... it's not as nice or traditional as the pictures above though...

Sweetness. I just got my sword in :-)

It's a touch longer than what I was wanting, but it's dang sweet.

Got a question - does Kris Cutlery have the tang run all the way to the end of the handle, or do they stop 2/3's or 3/4 of the way down like some swords out there?

If you're looking for something like a shortish Dha sword, check out the Hanwei Banshee. Really inexpensive, and they can take a beating. I know a lot of guys who have used the blades for DIY projects, too. 21" blade, 11.5" handle.

About 6 inches in front of the end of the handle, so typical for a cutter. You need to thin the edge out a bit when you get one since it's a low-cost model, but it's not an appleseed edge like a katana, so sharpen it like a big knife. It's very nimble in the hand, though, thanks to the long handle and short blade. The sword locks into the scabbard, which can be adjusted for a bunch of different carry methods. Quite a value as far as I'm concerned.
