Sycamore?

I was just wondering what people here thought of sycamore for knife handles. For example, how would it compare to other woods: birch, ironwood, maple, walnut, pine/fir, etc.

Has anyone ever used sycamore for handle material? Just wondering, because there is some really nice spalted sycamore out there.

I've never used Sycamore, at thevery least I think they are classed as medium hardwoods if they have leaves (box elder,Willow, poplar) and nobody has a problem using stuff like Box Elder, Should work fine esp. if stabilized.

If stabilized sycamore is wonderful to finish. The grain has a subtle beauty and warm tone that goes well with many other materials.
